What happens to my personal data when I register?
Your personal data is processed in accordance with the GDPR and is not disclosed to any external party. Read more in our user agreement.
It seems that I have been removed from the panel, why?
The most common reason for being removed from the panel is that you do not respond to the surveys you are invited to. If you have not answered a survey for a year, you risk being removed. If you want to become a member again, you are welcome to contact our customer service at membersupport@synoint.com.
Another reason why someone risks being removed is if he repeatedly mishandles his survey response by, for example, not answering the surveys seriously, not reading through the questions and as a result answering inconsistently, or otherwise trying to cheat with his survey answers.
How do I end my membership?
You can end your membership and exit the panel at any time by logging into your panel account and clicking on “update your profile” and then on “exit account”.
How much do I earn from a survey?
You are always compensated for answering a survey provided you qualify to participate in it. How many kronor you earn from a survey is stated in the invitation email sent to your e-mail address, and your earned compensation is collected as points in your panel account. The compensation varies for each survey and is based on how long it takes to answer it. You get roughly the same number of kroner in compensation as the specified number of minutes it takes to complete the entire survey.
What type of compensation can I get for answering surveys?
You can get points for SuperPresent cards, trislotter, PayPal, SF bio tickets or charity. SuperPresent cards are valid at over 150 retail chains. Tris slots can be scratched online or at Svenska Spel’s representative. You can exchange points for cash at PayPal or buy bio tickets at SF. You can also donate to charities such as Unicef, the World Nature Fund WWF, the Cancer Fund, the Church of Sweden, Blue-Yellow.
How do I redeem my points for the compensation I want?
You can choose between the different compensation options when you are logged in to your panel account. You need to collect 30 points or more to be able to make a payout. Log in to your panel account and go to “your profile” and then to “your balance”. There you see which compensation option you have chosen, and if you want to exchange your points for the compensation, you do it here. You can switch between the different compensation options at any time, it costs nothing and you always keep your existing balance.
Do I get points for a survey I did not complete?
You do not receive compensation for a survey that you voluntarily cancel, as we unfortunately cannot use the incomplete answers we receive. Information about how many kroner you get for a survey is always in the invitation email. In some surveys, you target a specific target group, and at the beginning of the survey you have to answer a few so-called selection questions (“screening questions” in English). If you do not belong to the desired target group, the survey will end, and you will then receive no compensation for that particular survey.
Why didn’t I get points for the survey?
The surveys are conducted in an external system, and sometimes an error message may appear or the link may be broken so that you do not get to the last page of the survey. On such occasions, awarding of points may take a little longer as the points are only awarded when answers from all participants have been collected. In some surveys, you target a specific target group, and at the beginning of the survey you have to answer a few so-called selection questions (“screening questions” in English). If you do not belong to the desired target group, the survey will end, and you will then receive no compensation for that particular survey.
How do I participate in the surveys?
Invitations to participate in surveys are sent to your email address. The invitation email contains a web link that takes you directly to the survey, which opens in a separate window. It always says how long the survey takes to answer and how many kroner you earn after completing it in the invitation email. You decide for yourself if and when you want to answer the survey.
How often can I participate in surveys?
You choose how often you want to be invited to participate in surveys by logging into your panel account. Once logged in, click on “update profile” and then select the maximum number of surveys that can be sent to you per month under “optimal survey frequency”. If you do not make an active choice, you will receive approximately one to three invitations a month, depending on how many active surveys are in the system.
How long is a survey?
The length of the surveys varies from time to time but is usually between 2 and 15 minutes long. The invitation email always states how long it will take to complete the survey and how much you will receive in compensation if you complete it.
Why do I sometimes leave the survey after a few questions?
Sometimes the surveys are aimed at a specific group of people, for example people who live in a villa. Therefore, the surveys begin with a number of questions, so called selection questions (“screening” in English), to see if you fit the desired profile. If you do not belong to the target group that is requested, the survey will end, and you will not receive any compensation for that particular survey. Sometimes you are sent directly to the next available survey. You can make your profile more specific by answering the profile questions found in your panel account and in this way increase the chance of receiving invitations to surveys that suit your profile and your interests. It may also be the case that the survey ends early even when you actually fit into the survey’s target group, and this is usually due to the fact that we have already managed to get the number of responses needed for your particular target group in the survey. You will then end up on a final page with “quota full” in the link name and you will be notified of this at the start of the survey or after you have answered the selection questions. Even here, you are sometimes sent directly to the next available survey.
When I click on the web banner in the invitation, it says that the survey is closed or finished, what does that mean?
Not everyone who is invited to a survey will participate in it, and therefore invitations are usually sent out to more people than the number of responses a survey requires. Sometimes, however, more people answer the survey than expected. Since the survey ends when a sufficient number of responses have been collected, other panel members can then no longer participate in that particular survey. In order to participate in as many surveys as possible, we recommend that you answer the survey as soon as you can.
What do I do if I have a problem with a survey?
If you have a problem with a survey or your panel account, you are welcome to contact our customer service at membersupport@synoint.com. Please note that most surveys end automatically if you are inactive for more than 10-15 minutes and it is unfortunately not possible to restart it or have it sent again after that. The most common problem with surveys is that you do not allow cookies in your browser and then the connection to the panel from the external system in which the survey is located does not always work. To prevent this from happening, you as a panel member can check whether you have blocked cookies in your browser and avoid conducting surveys in private browsing mode.
How are my answers and personal data handled?
All responses are collected with great confidentiality and your personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR and is not disclosed to any external party. Your answers in surveys are always used and reported as compiled statistics based on all the answers in a given survey. Your answers can only be reported individually in cases where you entered answers in the form of text in a text window (because it is not possible to create any statistics based on free text answers). In those cases, your individual answer is reported together with certain background information about you, for example your gender, your age group and your region. Your answers can never be linked to you as an individual or to your e-mail address. If you answer in a way that makes it obvious to the survey that you answer without reading the questions, or cheat in some other way, the survey can report this to Cint, who in turn can withdraw the points you received for the survey and flag your account.
